Treorchy is a town in the heart of the Rhondda (Fawr) Valley in South Wales, and one of the hubs of the local roads network. Several A-roads meet in or near the area.
The town originally sat on a dead-end route, but was transformed in the late 1920s by the completion of several inter-valley mountain road projects.
