Diagram 513.2 indicates the maximum speed in miles per hour that is advised at a bend or other hazard. The sign features the black text Max speed over two lines, on a white background, with the speed that is advised in large figures the height of the two lines of text next to it.

The sign is positioned below the sign warning of the nature of the hazard, which is most commonly the bend or double bend signs.
