WT Western Tangential

The Western Tangential was a planned dual carriageway running north-south through the western side of Cardiff. It was part of a ambitious programme for a network of urban motorways in the city dating from 1968-1972. It was programmed for construction at a later date and therefore not much in the way of detailed design work was completed.
