Westfield Roundabout lies on the eastern flank of the A9 Falkirk relief road and connects it to the A904, which runs east west on its historical route between Falkirk and Grangemouth. The roundabout, and this section of the A9 was built in the early 1990s to remove through traffic from the town centre, and with the A904 connecting directly to the M9 at Earls Gate Roundabout to the east, this is one of the busier junctions on the new road. It is therefore of little surprise that it has one of the largest islands on the relief road, and that all of the approaches are split with 3 approach lanes and double width exits. The roundabout is a simple 4-arm junction with the two routes crossing at right angles to each other.
A short distance to the south on the A9 is a second roundabout serving the football stadium. This junction was installed some time ago, but the 'name panel' at the top of the approach signage is still blank! The junction is a simple 4-arm roundabout with the A9 passing through north-south, the eastern arm accessing the stadium and the western arm being a stub into a development site where only the fire station has been built.
