Westgate Gyratory is a gyratory junction on the western side of Gloucester. It is where the A417 meets the A4301. As well as the two A roads the junction also has a retail park, garage and Sports Centre on it.
The original line of Westgate Street is on the Southern (outbound) side of the junction. The gyratory was necessary to double the capacity of Westgate Bridge over the River Severn.
The eastern side of the gyratory was built in the 1960s. Previously, the northern side had operated as a dual carriageway, which at the time was part of the A40.
