Windyhall roundabout / cylchfan Windyhall, between Fishguard and Goodwick, is where the new direct route of the A40 from the roundabout at Rafael meets the foot of the slope, known as Windyhall, down which descends the old A40/A487 "duplex" from Fishguard town. This latter road is probably still the A487 in fact, although new signage now omits all mention of either route number as far as the old itinerary is concerned. Windyhall itself is named after a house, "Windy Hall", standing just below the brow of the hill.
