Winnersh Interchange is junction 10 of the M4. It is a partially unrolled cloverleaf interchange where the M4 meets the A329(M). It is one of just three of this type of interchange in the UK, the others being Denham and Croft Interchanges.
This junction was built in preparation for the M31, a proposed link motorway between the M3 and M4 that would have incorporated the A329(M). This explains why the junction is so complex, as it was intended for the large traffic volume of the M31, rather than the much more minor A329(M).
