Easton Junction makes up Junction 19 of the A14 and Woolley Junction is Junction 19A. Together they form a single staggered crossroads.
In 1999 proposals were made to grade separated all the at-grade junctions on the A14 between the A45 and A1. This was a safety improvement scheme to close all the gaps in the central reservation. At Easton/Woolley there were four options. Each involved replacing the gaps with an S1 bridge. It is not known if a preferred option was chosen before the scheme was scrapped. As a result the gaps still remain to this date.
