The X5 is the road in to the area of reclaimed land to the south of Mount Bingham and Fort Regent. Most of the land has been reclaimed for port and industrial use, with the islands fuel farm and power station all sited here. There is also the main cargo / freight handling facility for Jersey, and one of the marinas in the St Helier harbour area. The route starts at a TOTSO on the A16 as it doubles back on itself to climb Mount Bingham, and continues south, terminating in a long loop to the west, which doubles back on itself.
