This article is about the Class III road numbered C17M maintained by Aberdeenshire Council.
For other roads numbered C17, see C17.
For other roads numbered C17, see C17.
The C17M starts on the B993 at the west end of the Potarch Bridge, and heads south east, slowly diverging from the River Dee as it climbs. Below Glacks Hill, it crosses the historic county boundary, and so was formerly the C31K as it drops down the hill to Whitestone on the B976. A short dogleg to the west takes it back into Aberdeenshire, but only briefly, as the route then continues south across the Water of Feugh, and back into Kincardineshire. It is not known what the number of this short section was historically. Continuing south, the C17M climbs up through Cutties Wood to meet the B974, Cairn o'Mount Road.
