Central Drive, Blackpool (C) Barbara Carr
The A5099 at its junction with Chadwick Street.
Lytham Road (C) Gerald England
The Mayfair Hotel (one of three in Blackpool with the same name) on the right is on the corner of Lonsdale Road. Lytham Road is the B5262 which joins Blackpool Promenade just South of the Central Pier.
Whitegate Drive (C) Gerald England
The A583 from Blackpool to Preston just past the Whitegate Medical Centre.
Yeadon Way (C) Peter Bond
Where it crosses Hawes Side Lane.
Yeadon Way, Marton (C) Peter Bond
Blackpool South railway station (C) Roger W Haworth
If the cars in this picture carry on forward through the roundabout, the road, Yeadon Way curves off to the left and goes up on to former railway embankment of the direct line from here to Kirkham. On the right in front of the hoardings is one of the former curved platforms of Blackpool South station. The one platform which remains in use is behind the hoarding. Now try and imagine this scene on a summer Sunday afternoon between the wars. A dozen or more excursion trains which brought day trippers here in the morning are sitting in the sidings, gently steaming, waiting to take the trippers back in the evening to various Lancashire mill towns.
Waterloo Road (C) Gerald England The A5073 from Blackpool South Shore. At these traffic lights by Blackpool South Station is a right turn leading to Yeadon Way, a direct link towards the end of the M55 on a high level route following a former disused railway line.
Note the photographer was a passenger in a stationary vehicle.
Blackpool Promenade during illuminations season
Dodgy night photo because of old camera, but it's the end of the M55 at Blackpool at night.

Still some WRTL MRL6 lanterns in Blackpool that have never been removed, but no longer in service. These wall mounted ones are along Cookson Street, just outside Sainsburys and the Blackpool North station.
The tram extension works in Blackpool, where progress has stopped for now. This Wilko supermarket building is still yet to be demolished to make way for the rest of the new planned tram line.
Urbis Puntila lanterns in Blackpool. This is outside Sainsbury's supermarket and the North train station. These lanterns are not very common, but whenever they are used they're mainly in town/city centres.
Thorn Alpha 2000s, WRTL Vectras, and Urbis Evolos light the tramway along the sea front in Blackpool. These posts all had Alpha 2000 lanterns on them at one time, installed in 1995. In around 2002 they changed some of the Alpha 2000s for Vectras, and around 2010/2011 they then changed some more for the Evolos. As of 2018/2019, they've since started installing Philips Iridiums too, where the tram extension to Blackpool North railway station is happening.

A closer image of the concrete columns outside Blackpool North station. Not in service now as they are group-switched and can't work without the missing LED lantern.

Blackpool back in the Summer of 2019, just outside North train station. These street lights are aluminium columns with Urbis Citea NG lanterns.
The weird and unique street lights along Corporation Street in Blackpool. Apparently the big lights above used to light up the buildings in all different colours, but I was once told that they don't work or use them now. Photographed in the Summer of 2018.
