It's a street light. There is another one, further along.

I'm aware it's a street lamp, but would like to know the brand and type

There is another similar looking streetlight at the other end of the car park next to the block of flats, and they appear to be the only two streetlights of their kind in the area. The shape of the bulbs seems to suggest that they would light a wider area rather than just the ground directly below them, there isn't much lighting in the car park area which would otherwise be quite dark.

Unfortunately I can't identify however, Northern Ireland used to have quite a few of these at bus and railway stations, such as these ones here:

https://www.google.com/maps/@54.8634278 ... 312!8i6656

The light quality was terrible - so dull that they were barely worth having

EDIT: Just noticed they're still there but they no longer work

The latest imagery of that particular street light appears to show the top missing, or is it just the way I am seeing it? The post does appear to have a band of black tape around it, so it has probably been shut down and been forgotten about completely, otherwise the whole thing would have been uprooted long ago. Based on the street view image set the street light may have been decommissioned sometime between 2011 and 2014.

I must take a closer look next time I'm down past it however, I think the lantern has just broken and has fallen down against the column. There's another one slightly to the right which is still intact (but doesn't work either).
