I was recently watching Tom Scott's Lateral (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eJ80D31k1y4) when this came up about Interstate 70 in Colorado. The interstate climbs up Floyd Hill eastbound, with a 6% gradient that due to its easterly direction means that drivers can be dazzled by the sun shining directly into their eyes in winter mornings.

To prevent crashes, the Colorado Department of Transportation closes the eastbound hill climb for sunny winter mornings for about 45 minutes. Drivers have to use the older Clear Creek Canyon pass on US-6, or take the frontage roads and rejoin a few junctions later:
