"Trace Path" takes ages to load

Post by ravenbluemoon »

I've noticed that when I click on the "trace path" button in order to do a bit of tracing/recalling old traces, it takes ages to load up, to the point where Chrome will ask me if want to wait or close the page. I thought it might have been my slow connection at home, but it's also the same when I try it at work. I know I've probably got 1000 or so C-road traces on there which won't help :D - so is it a case of suck it up/not trace more roads, or is there a way of only loading traces when they're needed - not sure how it works behind the scenes?

I have this problem too, and when I queried it I was told I'd done 'too many' traces! Some days it is quicker than others, but fortunately there aren't that many traces that I need to do these days.

Ah, fair enough. I'm patient enough to wait a minute or two, but Chrome quite often decides it has had enough of it and goes to the "ah snap" screen. Long term I've only got East Yorkshire and half of Lincolnshire to trace so hopefully it won't become intolerable!

I've also done many traces and have the same issue. I'll raise again with development.

Thanks. It's ok at the moment but I'd worry if I added another few hundred traces to it!
