Google Streetview shows parts of the A591 and A5271 in Keswick as "Regional Rte 71". What numbering system is this part of?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Cycle_Route_71
"Workington or Moor Row to Penrith
Route 71 has two strands at its western end. The northern strand trailhead is in Workington and heads east via Cockermouth.[2] The southern strand trailhead is on Route 72 in Moor Row. It heads east to meet the northern strand in Thornthwaite. Passing through the heart of the Lake District at Keswick the route continues east to Little Blencow where this western section of the route ends. Route 7 links to the middle section in nearby Penrith."

Thanks. I hadn't heard of cycle route numbers being called Regional Routes - I thought they were all called National.

Regional cycle routes are a deprecated numbering system that is slowly being absorbed into the NCN. They were signed with blue boxes instead of red ones.

Don't believe that has ever been that has it?

It's part of the Coast to Coast though, unsure why it's not marked as that instead or the correct National Route, see here near Stanley for example - https://www.google.com/maps/@54.8769173 ... ?entry=ttu

Mind just checking around the SUSTRANS routes, it seems all over the place on Google with gaps all over the place and different ways of marking etc.
