New video heading westbound, looks like fresh blacktop has gone down on the sliproads and mainline west of Dowlais top.

I think they are getting ready to direct traffic over the furthest north NEW viaduct at Cefn Coed to get on with demolishing the old one?
They’re not demolishing the original viaduct, just refurbishing it. Obviously it will then become the westbound off-slip to the A470 junction.
Their Facebook page says that they’re doing the swap you mention Friday night next week (31st May).

Ah, interesting....nope I've not looked at the plans.... They've just started taking concrete up along the edges last week.
And I look forward to a drive over next week then!!
For anyone who may not have seen it, Future Valleys Construction have a very good Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/A465Section5and6 which is regularly updated with the latest progress/closures etc. At the time of writing, the latest post (May 24th) shows exactly what Andy was referring to regarding swapping traffic onto the new northern viaduct at Cefn Coed.
Every month or so they upload latest progress drone photos and videos which compliment Andy’s excellent “ground level” videos perfectly.
