I came across this on GOOGLE EARTH Communities

It is apparently a tourist attraction!

I believe Bill Bryson got pretty drunk in Daly Waters one night; I'd like to check that out!

I don't think it actually controls any traffic, so is it a traffic light???

There wouldn't be a great deal of traffic to control, presumably. I've seen a few photos of this light before. I'm a little curious as to why it has a QR (Queensland Railways) sticker under the green light.
