SABRE Steering Committee

Post by Guy-Barry »

A SABRE Steering Committee has now been established, formalizing the existing SABRE Admin group and superseding the old UK Roads Web Committee. The officers are Steven Jukes (President) and myself (Secretary), with the possibility of a post of Treasurer being created in the future. In addition, the existing SABRE site management team (Paul Berry, Chris Marshall, Simon/M4 Man) all take part. The post of President will become an elected one from next April, when elections for the site management team also take place.
The Committee is responsible for all administrative matters except the day-to-day running of this website. Examples include the Society's constitution (which is in the process of being drafted), the proposed "Roader's Digest" on the UK Roads Portal, the planned SABRE book provisionally titled "British Roads from A to B", and possible alternatives to MSN if (or when) SABRE eventually outgrows this site.
The Committee meets in permanent session on the SABRE Admin MSN group (http://groups.msn.com/SABREAdmin), and membership is open to any member of SABRE. To join, simply go to the site and click "Join Now" - membership will automatically be approved (by Steven or me) if you are already a member of SABRE.
Please join us if you have an interest in the running of an extremely fast-growing Society!
