Chernobyl

Post by Ian198 »

On this, the 20th anniversary of the disaster, it's interesting to look at this account of an overland drive to Chernobyl from Britain. Passing reference to the French and German portions, more on the Polish and Ukrainian roads.

Don't ever complain about Cumbernauld town centre again.

As an aside, the website has some informative pieces on the gestation of British Leyland's finest products.

A good read. I don't think I'll be going there.

It is suprising how you often saw Ladas. Now very few indeed. Does any member own up to having one?

If that had happened in the UK the Health and Safety brigade would have kittens at the prospect of tourists visiting an radioactive hot zone!
