Imagine if there had been an archive of drone footage for historical projects!

New progress update for June. The footage really shows the huge scale of these works. This is a very complex scheme and the update explains the next links and movements to become operational later this month.

Some critical new links will be opening soon which hopefully will take pressure off the soon to be decommissioned signalised roundabout which causes all the traffic problems at Dunkettle.

Some of the limitations of people who do not follow signs

they could have used Openstreetmap which was updated an hour after the change was made.

It's just been on the 6:30 rte2 news warning drivers using the interchange in this morning's rush hour to take extra care and pay attention to signage and other motorists following the opening of the link roads over the weekend....

Are these queues normal on the N25 or is it just unfamiliarity with the new junction layout?

Unless the driver is familiar with it, approaching the M50/N7 junction from the N7 is laden with the risk of confusion - so I guess Dunkettle will settle!

Having said that just this afternoon I was heading north on the M18 intending to take the M6 to Dublin. Ended on the M17 heading for Tuam. About 30 km to rectify. Day-dreaming and driving is a bad combination :(

Latest drone video. There is some concern about temporary arrangements and signposting, but I suppose these are inevitably somewhat substandard otherwise they would be permanent!

Wonderful to see the rebuilt free-flow Dunkettle interchange, the most critical road junction in Cork - a city undergoing a major construction and growth boom - finally open. :D

How is the N40 Cork South Ring since the final links opened, especially at rush hour? Is traffic still backed up at the Jack Lynch tunnel and at the pinch point at Douglas?

Cork city now needs its planned north ring route sooner rather than later!
