Took a stroll up to Trewaun tonight, and managed to get a glimpse of the new Tramway footbridge prior to the road re-opening tomorrow. Pics attached. Sorry for the poor angle, it's the best I could get given pedestrian access has been fenced off.

Thanks. They are not going with the rusty look for this bridge. I did notice on the other new bridge installed (19min50 secs in on my last video) is also blue.

Yes, both bridges appear to be intentical. I can only imagine the third and final footbridge due to be installed (Taff Trail, Cefn Coed) will be the same too.

Stopped to take some photos at snowy Dowlais Top this morning, as the giant Blockbusters board has been rising quickly over the last week or so.

A lot of progress is being made.A very big overpass of the A470 has been constructed. Viaduct pillers all along the route have popped up, a new temp? roundabout is being constructed at Hirwaun and the temp reroute from the Aberdare turning so that traffic can get under the new footbridge installed...and many many more things.

Video East: https://youtu.be/5SDBJdHP3rA

Video West coming shortly, and because of the changes I will try and add a sideways video too.

...Jeremai, the construction stands out well in the snow, & I see they are using the Hexagons at many more places too.

From the video you just posted, this is presumably Taf Fawr, just east of the A470 roundabout. If so - I'm really pleased. The bridge there is very distinctive and it looks like the new bridges in parallel have been designed to echo its very graceful shape. I had the impression before now that they wouldn't, and the new ones would be very generic in design, so this is great to see.

The new footbridge is interesting at 24:08 in the video in that it has been left very low over the original carriageway. I hope that the few plastic barriers and cones are sufficient to deflect the traffic onto the temporary road before it!

I drove through on Monday and was amazed at the progress. Last time there was a reasonable amount of off-line work happening, and the new bridge piers at Merthyr, but the progress is impressive.
