Place with the most differently designed "Welcome to..." signs?

Post by Gareth Thomas »

Welcome to Temple Ewell!

We like our signs here, so you can choose to be welcomed by this, this, or this!

So, 3 differently designed signs all saying "Welcome" to the same place. Can anyone beat this?

Rules:
All signs must be for the same place, be it a settlement, borough etc.
Signs with exactly the same design count as one sign.
They don't necessarily have to actually say "Welcome" or "Croeso", but it must be obvious you are entering a place when passing it.

It depends what you're willing to accept as a "sign".

Standard
Please drive carefully
Twin town
Does this count?

https://goo.gl/maps/cCc9jgF2g6BkdDeJ9 this has to be about the most pointlessly wordy sign i pass locally. Sure it's friendly but it is really necessary right on that bend? If you're not driving carefully by that point then it's not going to end well anyway

Always thought this one was strange. Looks like a pub sign from afar. Seems to be on every entrance: here and here

Presumably targeted at pedestrians rather than drivers, as I can’t see how you’d realistically read that from a moving vehicle unless you were going very slowly indeed!

We currently have three variations in Stourbridge although they're not terribly interesting. These are all at entry points to the town where the administrative boundary changes to West Midlands / Dudley whether from either Staffordshire or Worcestershire. I can't think of anywhere where the town is signed from an adjoining area in the West Mids conurbation ie from the north or east.
A491 northbound at Pedmore.
A451 northbound at Norton. This style of sign also appears at the B4187 northbound plus the unclassified Dunsley Road entries to town as well.
A458 eastbound at Wollaston.
For the last few years we have also been welcoming people specifically to the town centre although I guess this doesn't count for this thread. (Also seen here is our comical advert for the 'River Stour' - laughable as it is almost completely obscured under a building and the wide road bridge).

Or three if coming from the south?
