Furthest signed destination on an RCS with only one destination

Post by Gareth Thomas »

Continuing with the various RCS thread themes!

On the way to Bluewater today I passed this sign on the M2 just after
Junction 6 westbound. The only destination is “London 51”.

I’m sure there must be somewhere, probably in Scotland, where only one destination is located on an RCS and with a higher mileage - my challenge is, is this sign outside Faversham the winner? :D

The best I've found is Jedburgh 38

Technically meant to be on a SABRE detox right now, but Carlisle 84 on the RCS right here at M74 J6 going south.

England-wise, Edinburgh 61 on the A1 North after the roundabout with the A1167 at Scremerston is a contender. But your sign is probably very close.
