A61 at Chesterfield

A61 at Chesterfield

I saw a National Highways gritter gritting the roundabout at the intersection of the A61 and A619 in Chesterfield today. Which confused me. I thought that would be a DCC road, not a NH road?

The A61 is on the list of roads managed by National Highways.

The A61 is on the list of roads managed by National Highways.
Only the tiny link between the A616 and M1 at Tankersley is trunk. The Chesterfield relief road is non-trunk and maintained by DCC.
