Yes.

For historic maps at least.

We also have a far wider Miniscale and 1:250k coverage - indeed, we have the largest archive in the world for both.

If people are willing to put money and time into the pot, then maybe we could pay the licensing costs or storage costs for additional scales? As it stands, it's just far too expensive. Of course, we could also plaster SABRE in advertisements to pay for it as they have done, but that's always been an unpopular option.

It's not actually easy to say, as it's hideously complex pricing - for example Landrangers are priced per 15 map tiles served, but you do get an amount for free.

That site Gav linked to has by far the best online modern 1:25000 mapping I've seen. Much larger and sharper than streetmap.

I agree that it would be nice for us to host something like that but it just isn't going to happen. Then again, it's the historic mapping I'm more interested in and this is where we really excel. I'm just eager for the next year or two to pass so we can start seeing the first Landrangers appear.

Having just watched the latest Carland Cross - Chiverton Cross video, I looked on Streetmap to see if it was shown as under construction at either 1:50k or 1:25k. No luck. I then looked on the site linked by Gav above. Nothing at 1:50k, but their 1:25k is more up to date than Streetmap's and has a lot of detail of the current state. Unlike anything I've ever seen before for a road under construction.

I then thought I'd try for HS2 and I looked at a good part of the route. Again found a lot of detail on their 1:25k and, in one area, their 1:50k.
