Primary B road

Post by nightdriver »

I drove along the B178 the other night which runs from Dagenham to the A1306 (old A13). It's got a large old scruffy green primary route sign up that says 'B178 Dartford Crossing'.

The B4640 in Newbury proved to be a disappointment - white signs (with green patches at the junctions with the A34 and A339). Interesting that from the Newbury bypass Basingstoke is now signposted via the A303.
I did notice that on the A339 approaching the B4640 the (green) signs had white patches for the B4640, which themselves had green "subpatches" indicating that this was the way to the A34.
