Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Aug 13, 2009 by TruveloA40 in foreground, road adjoining was the old Swansea road (A4067) . Recent 'upgrade' of lowered pavement instead of road where traffic now has to drive over when cars parked.....Oddly some locals still ignore the 'one way' rule since it was introduced around 10 years ago. (opposite the Spar shop).....The interesting bit it the anglo/welsh road writing saying no entry.

The accommodation may have helped. There were some lorries parked out of sight to the right. A classic transport caff design from the 40's or 50's perhaps.

Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Nov 10, 2007 by SteveA30Same bit of nice old 60's or 70's dual carriageway, heading east. Before Sept 1966, this was the main London - South Wales trunk route. The Severn Bridge opening allowed most to go via the A4 and A46 to the M4 at J18.
