Forres Enterprise Park Roundabout lies to the east of Forres and provides access to the new business park which is slowly taking shape here. As with any such new development, it will take several years for the park to be filled, but it is already home to a number of businesses. The park has been developed by Highlands and Islands Enterprise, as one of a number of sites around the Moray Firth which is providing jobs for the rapidly growing population. Within reach of Inverness and Aberdeen, and with the fast growing town of Elgin just a few miles away, Forres is well placed to take advantage.
The roundabout itself is a standard 4-arm design, which was built offline from the A96, forcing the trunk road to curve to meet the roundabout. The fourth arm is a private access to the estate to the north, which partially follows the old line of the A96. Being offline, the roundabout also has a slightly strange camber, particularly noticeable when approaching from the east, and indeed the whole junction slopes up to the south. With the planned dualling of the whole A96 by the 2030s, it is likely that the A96 will be re-routed away from this roundabout.
