This is the new overbridge carrying the current N9 over the new M9 about 5km south of Kilcullen. The new bridge fits in seamlessly into the N9.

Joining the new motorway by the sliproad from the dumbbell interchange, south of Castledermot. Note the temporary 100 km/h speed limit, required as the road is not yet officially a motorway.

M9 end

This is how the M9 will terminate at Waterford. Alot of this model is already constructed. The cable stay bridge pier is 1/3 constructed as is many of the overbridges on the new 'Granny' junction between the M25 bypass and the link road to the M9 and N24. Note that the M9 finishs on a large round about and must yield to traffic from the N24.
