B9054 (Finstown - Twatt) :
The original route of the B9054 in 1922 was from the A965 east of Finstown north west to the A967 near Twatt. The road was soon upgraded to Class I status, however, becoming the A986; it seems most likely the upgrade took place in 1933. Despite being renumbered, the route has not changed, with today's A986 following the same course given to the B9054 in 1922, |
