I was reminded of this thread on Saturday, where on the M6 (certainly going westbound) the signs near Coventry for the Coventry City and Wasps stadium still say Ricoh Arena, rather than Coventry Building Society Arena, which is the new name for the stadium as of last year!

It is a bit inconsistent when this local sign in Kent isn't permitted to differentiate between Sainsbury's (left), Waitrose and Iceland (ahead).

Easy. Posh and plebs superstores (ahead), Middle-class superstore (left)Telstarbox wrote: ↑Thu Mar 17, 2022 15:17 It is a bit inconsistent when this local sign in Kent isn't permitted to differentiate between Sainsbury's (left), Waitrose and Iceland (ahead).

Just how are coach drivers and blue badge holders supposed to read that tiny print?Telstarbox wrote: ↑Thu Mar 17, 2022 15:17 It is a bit inconsistent when this local sign in Kent isn't permitted to differentiate between Sainsbury's (left), Waitrose and Iceland (ahead).

Getting agreement with National England Agency for Infilling Former Railways Bridges Highways is a nightmare. There are still numerous "Macron Stadium" signs on the M61.Scratchwood wrote: ↑Thu Mar 17, 2022 12:58 I was reminded of this thread on Saturday, where on the M6 (certainly going westbound) the signs near Coventry for the Coventry City and Wasps stadium still say Ricoh Arena, rather than Coventry Building Society Arena, which is the new name for the stadium as of last year!

Terminally cynical, unimpressed, and nearly Middle Age already.

I didn't notice this morning what the signs on the M6 eastbound say, but the ones on the roundabout at junction 3 have been patched to say CBS rather than Ricoh.Scratchwood wrote: ↑Thu Mar 17, 2022 12:58 I was reminded of this thread on Saturday, where on the M6 (certainly going westbound) the signs near Coventry for the Coventry City and Wasps stadium still say Ricoh Arena, rather than Coventry Building Society Arena, which is the new name for the stadium as of last year!
