Cirencester to Stroud Turnpikes Sabre Wiki list
Cirencester to Painswick
map turnpikes.org.uk shows two routes from Ciren to Stroud. Sabre list - only one.
the above maps is borrowed from previous researchers by a guy doing a PhD on Toll Houses. I continued his work at the Milestone Society after he stepped down.
One other interest was what local aficionados refer to as the - "Bisley Path" where there are a number of stones that might fit the route on the map Gloucestershire Milestones (zoomed), though it might refer to Daglnworth if there were evidence of, say milestones, (sadly not).
What proof there is - is on this map - Metcalf 1816 with its MS and TP plus our Bisley Path stones.
So my point is - is there a need to add a row delineating a second route? Sabre Gloucs list
There is a separate issue - to be raised on another post.

If it's missing, and there's evidence of the route's existence then feel free to add it in.Mr Red wrote: ↑Sun Mar 24, 2024 15:31 So my point is - is there a need to add a row delineating a second route? Sabre Gloucs list
