Unfortunately for us, my mam hasn't quite yet got the hang of turning her phone to "landscape" before hitting record, but I've done my best to re-edit the video to avoid us getting sore necks

I agree. But also, private transport is the way the large majority of people get to work and engage in social activities. Journeys to sheds represent a small proportion. And in most cases, these journeys to work and for social purposes are not to inner urban areas where public transport or active travel are viable.Bryn666 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 02, 2024 11:28 Indeed, as I have said many times, new roads in themselves are not the problem - it is new roads that are designed to just create yet more driving trips to giant shed developments that are. Rural areas rely on good roads that don't close every time there's a drop of rain. See also the A83.
The WG needs to realise this distinction when it applies a blanket ideology - I had thought their "safety/connectivity" exemptions would be enshrined.

If you look carefully there's a junction just before the railway bridge for a small industrial estate, so I guess the early 20mph is for that. As for opening with a 30 I'm not sure what the thinking is there, as the 30 signs are all temporary

Please feel free to add and improve.
From the SABRE Wiki: New Dyfi Bridge :
The new bridge crosses the River Dyfi approximately 480m upstream of the existing 19th century Dovey Bridge, or Pont ar Ddyfi (sometimes spelt Dyfi), north of Machynlleth.
The bridge and 0.75 mile road crossing the Afon Dyfi flood plain was opened on 2 February 2024. It is S2 with a 2.5m wide shared use path. Contractor was Griffiths. Anticipated cost was £46 million.
