Description:Very low bridge, Walthamstow Marshes (C) Malc McDonald
There used to be a level crossing over the railway line here. The sign still warns of overhead cables, but the crossing itself has been closed. The fence to the right of the image marks the site of the crossing.


The bridge under the railway tracks has very low clearance, just 5 feet (or 1.5 metres). Cyclists using National Cycle Network route 1 must dismount and wheel their bikes under the bridge.
