Wansford Bridge
Historic bridge on the old Great North Road, built in 1557 with 13 arches, repaired in 1674, it was seriously damaged by ice in the winter of 1795 and repaired in the form of 10 arches. Wansford was bypassed by the A1 in the 1930s so the bridge can now be safely negotiated on foot.
