Gallery:Dartford Crossing
Apologies for the digital zoom, but this gives a good idea of the size of the Dartford Bridge. This is taken from Crystal Palace some 10+ miles away as the crow flies. At night when you cross over it and see the transmitter blinking you know you are not that far now.

Inside the tunnel - a bit blurry due to the slow exposure without flash, and the speed of the car, but with the red reflections on the walls from the rear lights, it looks sort of artistic!

Might as well give this a go. Looking north at the crossing from the south bank at early dusk, with the QE2 bridge lit and framed by the foreground bridge and line of toll booths.

Well, we're supposed to have integrated transport in this country, so why not have rail and road links in the same picture! Taken from the A1090 London Road, Purfleet. The A282 in the background is of course the northern approach to the actual crossing, out of shot to the right.
