Gallery:Dartford Crossing
Apologies for the digital zoom, but this gives a good idea of the size of the Dartford Bridge. This is taken from Crystal Palace some 10+ miles away as the crow flies. At night when you cross over it and see the transmitter blinking you know you are not that far now.

Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Jan 17, 2007 by snowdonWell, we're supposed to have integrated transport in this country, so why not have rail and road links in the same picture! Taken from the A1090 London Road, Purfleet. The A282 in the background is of course the northern approach to the actual crossing, out of shot to the right.
