Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Jun 20, 2008 by Stevie DTaken Sunday 20th April 2008 from Mill Hill overbridge looking down on the A27/A283 interchange, the Shoreham 'Flyover'.
Opened in 1970 replacing the old single track toll bridge over the River Adur which you can see in the mid-ground.
Eventually connected to the A27 Brighton by-pass in 1996 making this part of a longer distance route.
In the distance is the South Downs and Lancing, Worthing.

The Forth Road Bridge tollbooths stand silently, closed to traffic for ever, as Scotland is now a toll-road free country.
Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Feb 16, 2008 by GlenThis is a scan of a photo I took in 1981. An impressive bridge, dwarfing the railway bridge next to it!
Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Jan 19, 2008 by IanReigateThe now-disused (and eroding) former A4086, right at the edge of Llyn Padarn, Llanberis.
Taken in 2005, and making its appearance as my first ever PoTM entry!

Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Apr 25, 2009 by t1(M)Also from the M6 Birthday weekend earlier in December. This isn't the M6 though, rather a nice snowy road we explored that crisscrossed the motorway a few times. We were so blessed with this gorgeous crisp weather which always makes for a nice photo.
Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Dec 25, 2008 by SabristaThis is a more cropped version of my entry last month. I've now cropped off the rear view mirror at the top and the tax disc at the bottom to make for a less distracting picture. This was my first visit to the Scottish Highlands and I was glad to be a passenger so that I could capture stunning vistas such as this one.

An unusual POTM entry, as you can't see the actual road! But it should crop down well for the banner image.
