Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Jul 18, 2007 by Nic_A47Taken from exactly the same place as an earlier PotM, but looking in the other direction. Lets hope a sunny photo gets us some sunny weather...
Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Jul 23, 2007 by DavidBrownA more staid photo... this photo shows the old A77 (downgraded from S4 to S2 + cycle path) next to the M77 heading off into the distance :) Pity about the weather.
Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Jul 17, 2007 by scynthius726This photo was taken just a couple of days after the first spate of the somewhat non-july-ish flooding. This particular road is a quiet B road which some use to go between York and Goole or Hull. Here it passes over the Pocklington & Derwent navigation canal. Normally there should be no water visible at all, but the water level is close to 10ft above normal level, and was lapping the edge of the road bridge.
Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Jul 23, 2007 by True YorkieOriginally taken back at the end of June, this picture of London Liverpool Street's departures board shows the chaos caused by a freight train derailment near to Bury St. Edmunds. The red lines across the top all show 'Delayed' except for the 1755 to Southend, which was cancelled altogether.
A larger (1600 x 1200) version of this picture is also available.
Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Jul 17, 2007 by Mister_StormAs we seem to be having off-the-wall pictures, I thought I'd submit this one, originally taken by Freddy the Frog. Ginge is obviously checking the engine over prior to a roadtrip :-)

Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Jul 18, 2007 by JeniFrom the recent South Wales Roadtrip. Now I know it's the B4598 (former A40). Cropped accordingly both to fit in a banner and to take out the dashboard of the car!
