Offline services were proposed at Junction 35 of the M1 on a number of occasions through the 1990's. The site would have covered the field to the south east of the junction, with various options for access including one directly from the main junction 35 roundabout and another with a smaller roundabout on Upper Wortley Road. Options for traffic signal control were also considered.
The site remains under consideration for development and could be known by either the Thorpe Hesley services or North Sheffield services.
