Comber Road Roundabout is an important roundabout on the Newtownards southern relief road where the A20 meets the A21.
The roundabout is frequently congested, as the design capacity of the roundabout is relatively low, but the junction has to deal with several different flows; it is at the top of Strangford Lough, providing the first crossing to the Ards peninsular since the Strangford - Portaferry ferry; it also provides a relief road around the town, and access to several new retail developments and the aerodrome.
There are also uncontrolled pedestrian crossings and Zebra Crossings with not insignificant pedestrian flows, as a result of the relief road having large residential developments to the south of the town.
