Ravenswood Roundabout lies at the eastern end of the Melrose Bypass, where the A6091 terminates on the A68. It is a large three arm roundabout with each of the approaches widening to two lanes to separate turning traffic. The junction was built as part of the Melrose Bypass on the A6091 which also saw Eildon and Newtown St Boswells bypassed by the route. This was done by building a new road to the south of Newstead, largely on the line of an old railway, to meet the A68 south of Ravenswood House. This new road also removed the long climb over the eastern edge of the Eildon Hills.
