2011 Perth and Braemar Awayday

The Perth and Braemar Awayday in October 2011 ended up without actually stopping in either of the named destinations! The original plan had been to explore some of Perth's roads - the former M85, Broxden Roundabout et al, and then head up the A93 to Braemar. In the end it was a 10am meet at Blairgowrie, and a more genteel drive up the A93, taking a look at the abandoned A93 Craighall Gorge section, Glenshee Bridge, over the Cairnwell Pass to Braemar and the Linn of Dee Bridge, up the B976 to Gairnshiel Bridge, then back down the A939 to Ballater for a late lunch before finding a nice mix of B roads to bring us back over the Cairn O'Mounth to Blairgowrie for a relaxing evening and delicious meal!
