Springfield Interchange is a diamond junction above the Saint Peter's Way section of the A666 in Bolton. This exit forms the corner of the eastern flank of the Bolton Inner Relief Road (the A666), and the southern flank (the A579). Consequently this junction is very busy at peak times, with queues stretching back onto the mainline in both directions.
