Onchan Post Office and pub opposite.
The post box however <a href='http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3112111'>SC3978 : Olympic Gold Post Box - Onchan</a> commemorates Peter Kennaughs success in the Summer Olympics 2012 as he won the gold medal as part of the Great Britain Team Pursuit team becoming the first Manxman in 100 years to win gold. In doing so he also help set a world record for the event.

In August 1973, the entertainment complex Summerland caught fire and burned down with tragic loss of many young lives. All that remains now is seen here. Nearer the camera, a car of the Manx Electric Railway climbs on its journey to Ramsey.
