Longbarrow Roundabout is a junction in the Stonehenge World Heritage Site. It was a crossroads until the 1970s, and the name 'Longbarrow Cross' is well remembered.
Like all of the A303 here, the junction suffers from severe congestion. It was widened in 2013.
Proposals to dual this section of A303 have been made on several occasions since 1989. The scheme from the early 2000s would have seen the roundabout upgraded to a dumbbell. The later scheme was for a dumbbell situated to the west of the current roundabout.
