The B2183 is a short link road in central Sussex cutting off the southwest corner between the A272 and A275 near North Chailey. The road was originally unclassified but gained its number in the late 1920s.
The road starts at a sharp-angled junction on the A272 and heads southeastwards along Beggar's Wood Road; this is a rural road and we only pass a couple of buildings on the road's entire length. Shortly the road is crossed by an unclassified road; for some reason the junction is traffic-calmed and traffic heading towards the junction has to give way at a chicane to traffic heading away. There's also a cattle grid here as well to add to the confusion.
We skirt the Cholley Common Nature Reserve with signs warning of livestock on the road. Presently we cross another cattle grid and end just afterwards at a T-junction on the A275.
