This article is about the former B912 to the southwest of Dunfermline.
For the current B912 to the east of the town, see B912.
For the current B912 to the east of the town, see B912.
The B912 originally ran between the old junction with the B911, now on the B9037 west of the Cairneyhill Roundabout some 3.5 miles eastwards to the junction with the then-A906, now the B9156, at Broomhall.
By the 1930s this route had been upgraded to an A road and become part of the A985 which initially ran from the A907 near Clackmannan to the A906 at Broomhall, and the B912 number was reassigned to its present-day route. Following the construction of the Valleyfield and Torryburn bypass in the 1960s, the extreme western end of the former B912 is now a slightly overgrown cycle route lying entirely to the south of the railway line and accessed from the A985 or B9037.
The 1922 MOT Road List defines this route as: Torryburn - Broomhall
