Blacklow Roundabout is a junction on A46 at the north end of the Warwick Bypass and south end of the Kenilworth Bypass. It was previously known as Guy's Cliff Interchange.
Layout
It is in the form of a normal two level Roundabout interchange except that there is no direct access onto A46 Warwick Bypass southbound. Traffic has to exit on A429 and then shortly afterwards turn right and cross the short D2 section to access A46. This layout was chosen due to the lack of space between A429 and A46.
History
Before the bypasses it was a T junction where B4115 met A46 just south of Leek Wootton.
Warwick Bypass was opened on 16 August 1967 with the roundabout built and allowing for a flyover to be constructed in the future for northwards continuation of A46.
The junction took its current form with the opening of the Kenilworth Bypass on 21 June 1974.
