The C27 starts on the A706 at Borrowstoun and follows Borrowstoun Road east, before turning north on Gauze Road into Bo'ness. This much is clear from the council list, however, from there it is not clear how it gets to the stated terminus of 'A904'. Gauze Road itself finishes at a T junction with the A993, but immediately prior to this, Kinglass Avenue follows the other side of a small green, and meets the main road at a crossroads. From here, a series of roads drops steeply down hill, via some sharp bends and awkward junctions, into the town centre, so reaching the A904. Whilst this seems the most plausible route, it is not certain if it is correct.
