Raywards Roundabout lies on the eastern edge of Airdrie and is a four arm roundabout junction between the A73, the A8010 and the older alignment of the B8058. The B8058 appears to have been moved onto a newer road further south since 2020, leaving the fourth arm as unclassified. Each of the roundabouts four arms only has a single lined approach and departure lane, although the approach lanes are all wide enough for two cars to sit by side to separate turning traffic, and the A73 arms were previously lined for two lanes. This stretch of the A73 can be particularly busy as it connects Airdrie with Cumbernauld, while the A8010 bypasses Airdrie town centre to reach Coatbridge, adding to the turning traffic.
